Tours/Presentations

Center Educational Tours

Tours of the Center are available for educational and business purposes.  Tours are most appropriate for those over twelve years of age and group size is limited to no more than 40 individuals. We ask for 30 days' notice for tour requests.

CNPRC Tram Tour

Center tours include a brief overview presentation of the CNPRC followed by a tram tour of our south and north colonies. In exceptional cases, if there is a scientific or educational connection to our research, we can also organize separate guided tours for other groups. We are happy to combine the event with special lectures on our main research areas such as infectious diseases, cardiorespiratory diseases, neuroscience and behavior, reproductive sciences, regenerative medicine, and animal behavior, or with a discussion on animals in research.

Depending on the content, Center tours involve approximately 1 - 1.5 hours and are conducted on Wednesdays and Thursdays between the hours of 10 am - 2 pm. Depending on the type of tour desired, a visiting group may be required to provide proof of TB and MMR vaccination.

Please note that the CNPRC is not a 'zoo' and therefore our guided tours are science-based and may not be suitable for all audiences. To schedule a tour please contact the CNPRC Outreach Department.

Classroom Presentations

Presentations about the CNPRC are also available at off-site locations for local schools, classrooms, and organizations. To schedule a presentation, please email the CNPRC Outreach Department.
