
The CNPRC Histology Lab is a full-service laboratory that provides general histology, immunohistochemistry, frozen sectioning, and slide digitization services. The laboratory is available to collaborate with investigators in the development of new techniques and the characterization of nonhuman primate animal models.
Our on-site histology laboratory supports veterinary staff, faculty, and core scientist programs within and outside of the CNPRC network. Our lab continues to develop and execute histological techniques that meet the needs of the research and diagnostic communities.

- Tissue processing for formalin fixed tissues into paraffin embedded blocks
- Hematoxylin and eosin (HE) stained slides
- Unstained slides
- Special stains
- Immunohistochemistry (IHC), including optimization
- In situ hybridization (ISH), including optimization
- Semi-quantitative scoring
- Stereology
