Autism Spectrum Disorder

Autism Spectrum Disorder

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a common neurodevelopmental disorder that appears early in life and affects 1 in 68 individuals. It is characterized by social deficits and restricted or repetitive behaviors. Several models of ASD have been developed by scientists in the Neuroscience and Behavior Unit, allowing us to better understand the basic biology of this disorder, and to prospectively test potential treatments.
