Training and Education

Training & Education

The CNPRC plays a key role in training future scientists through participation in a variety of both formal and informal science programs here at the Center and in the community.  Many of our CNPRC scientists mentor students enrolled in undergraduate and graduate professional programs at UC Davis, as well as postdoctoral fellows from around the world who seek additional training in specific techniques. Mentorships are also available for students who are participating in non-degree-oriented training programs.

Educational and training opportunities are available for individuals at all skill levels, including part time student worker positions, undergraduate and graduate student training, clinical externships, and residency in primate medicine.

Learn more about our training opportunities by visting our training page.

Educational Outreach

The CNPRC is dedicated to the vital task of educating the public about progress in, and translational benefits from, biomedical research conducted at the CNPRC, and the role of nonhuman primates in research. We enjoy sharing the value of the work being done at the CNPRC with the university, local communities, and the public at large, to increase science literacy and develop an enhanced understanding and knowledge of significant discoveries and health-related biomedical topics at the CNPRC.
